Tandori Chicken

    Cooking time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

10- 12 chicken legs, skinned and scored
6 dessert spoons natural yoghurt
2 heaped teaspoon of tomato puree
2 heaped teaspoon ginger
2 heaped teaspoon garlic
1 1/2 teaspoons chilli powder
2 heaped teaspoons cumin and coriander mix
1 flat teaspoon garam masala
3 teaspoon lemon juice
2 1/2 teaspoon salt
5 dessert spoons of ghee

Method

  • Mix all the ingredients together adding a few drops of yellow food colouring
  • Dip in the chicken and cover well with the mix
  • Marinate for as long as possible
  • Add ghee to the mixture before cooking
  • Cook at gas mark 8 for about 15 minutes uncovered (top shelf) then turn over
  • Take all the juice from the tray, cook it for a further 10 minutes turning occasionally, until the chicken cooked and looks dark orange
