Shortcrust Pastry (savory or sweet)
A basic pastry to use for absolutely anything. Add sugar or flavour as needed.
Try caster sugar and cocoa for chocolate pastry.
Preparation time: 10 minutes Quantity: Makes 1 pie or tart
Ingredients
200g /7 oz p flour
pinch of salt
60g/ 2 oz diced soft butter
enough warm water to mix
Method
- Rub in fat
- Form to a dough with warm water
- Rest in fridge
