Sweet Luxury “Crumbly” Pastry 1
Sweet pastry 1 can be crumbly and harder to roll but it will paste together like dough and cooks like a biscuit.
Preparation time: 15-20 minutes Quantity: Enough for 1 pie or a big tart.
Ingredients
200g/7oz plain flour
100g/4oz caster sugar
100g4oz soft diced butter
2 x egg yolks beaten
1 grated lemon rind and a few drops of juice
Method
- With a pinch of salt
- Rub in fat
- Add all other ingredients
- Form into a dough
- Wrap in cling film and rest for 1 hour in the fridge
