Naan Bread
Preparation time: 30 minutes or so plus rising time Quantity: Makes 8-10 breads Cooking time: 8 - 9 minutes
Ingredients
¼ pint warm milk (37degrees)
2 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoon dried yeast
1 lb/500g sieved flour
tip teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoon oil
1 whole egg
5 level tablespoon yoghurt
Method
- Mix all ingredients together and knead for 10 minutes
- Leave to rise
- Cut into equal sizes
- Roll out with flour and tear into drop shapes
- Heat a flat tin in a hot oven
- Cook the naan breads on the hot tin for about 8 - 9 minutes
