Pastry - Lining Paste
Preparation time: 15 minutes Quantity: Makes a 1lb mix
Ingredients
450g/ 16 oz plain flour
200g/ 8 oz butter
100g/4 oz caster sugar
a touch salt
optional flavouring
Method
- Rub the butter in to the flour and sugar
- Add enough water to form a smooth dough
- Optional flavour- vanilla, lemon zest, cocoa powder etc.
- Rest in the fridge, covered before use
