Zahtar (Middle Eastern)

Use this mixture for barbecue ribs, chicken, blackened fish, Cajun soups or sauces, blackened steaks and blackened pastas.

Preparation time: 5 minutes   Quantity: Makes a 40g batch or so  

Ingredients

1 tablespoon sumac
1 tablespoon roasted sesame seeds
1 tablespoon ground thyme

Method

  • Grind all the ingredients together
  • Store in a cool, dark place up to four months
