Sausage and Bacon Kofta
Why not serve with your Christmas dinner instead of the usual sausages wrapped in bacon. Also makes a nice starter or main course served with chilli ketchup.
Preparation time: 15 minutes Quantity: Serves 4 Cooking time: 20 - 25 minutes
Ingredients
500g/ 1lb of sausage meat
1 finely diced onion
1 crushed clove of garlic
1 teaspoon chopped mint
1/2 diced fresh red chilli
1 egg
90g/ 3 oz crumbs
a piece or 1/2 a rasher of streaky bacon per Kofta
Method
- In a bowl add sausage meat, onion,garlic,chopped mint, red chilli, egg, crumbs and season well
- Mould on to pre soaked kebab sticks
- Wrap each one in a piece or 1/2 a rasher of streaky bacon
- Bake in a pre heated oven Gas 6-7 / 210*c / 430*f - for 20 - 25 minutes and serve with the bird
