Hummus - Chick Pea Dip
Hummus is a popular traditional snack throughout the Middle East. A puree of chickpeas and tahini. Tahini can be found in the supermarkets and deli’s. Serve with grilled or toasted pita bread.
Preparation time: 10-15 minutes Quantity: Serves 4
Ingredients
120g/4 oz chickpeas tinned
2 lemons juice
3 tablespoons tahini paste
2 crushed garlic cloves
2 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper
Method
- Liquidize all ingredients until semi smooth
- Serve on a plate drizzle with olive oil and a dust of paprika
