Traditional Coleslaw

Alternatives – use red onion instead of white, add sliced apples and oranges for a fruity version, add curry paste, use yogurt instead of mayonnaise for a healthier alternative, herb it up with mixed herbs, ideas are endless

Preparation time: 10-15 minutes   Quantity: Makes 4 - 6 portions  

Ingredients

½ finely shredded white cabbage
2 peeled and grated carrots
1 finely sliced white onion
seasoning

Method

  • Season and bind all ingredients with mayonnaise

Tip -don’t add salt if your going to keep it and not serve straight away- as salt draws out the water in the cabbage
