Thai Red Pork - Mu Daeng

Use the same marinade for Pork spare rib Chops and cook on the B.B.Q.
Serve as a main meal or use as part of Egg Fried rice or add to a Japanese Ramin style soup.

Preparation time: 15 minutes + marinating and resting time   Quantity: Serves 4   Cooking time: 20 - 30 minutes

Ingredients

450g/ 16 oz whole pork fillet-trimmed
1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
1 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon fish sauce - nam pla
1 teaspoon sesame oil
½ teaspoon red food colouring -op

Method

  • Marinate the pork in all of the ingredients
  • Leave to marinate overnight
  • On a wire rack roast in a pre heated oven Gas 7-8/220*c/450*f -for 20 minutes
  • Leave to rest , covered for 10-15 minutes

Slice as part of an Asian meal
