A fantastic bread to soak up the curry sauce. Fresh home made Naan breads smell and taste divine.

Preparation time: 30 minutes or so plus rising time   Quantity: Makes 8-10 breads   Cooking time: 8 - 9 minutes

Ingredients

¼ pint warm milk (37degrees)
2 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoon dried yeast
1 lb/500g sieved flour
tip teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 tablespoon oil
1 whole egg
5 level tablespoon yoghurt

Method

  • Mix all ingredients together and knead for 10 minutes
  • Leave to rise
  • Cut into equal sizes
  • Roll out with flour and tear into drop shapes
  • Heat a flat tin in a hot oven
  • Cook the naan breads on the hot tin for about 8 - 9 minutes
