Chicken Tikka Kebabs

A simple , yet scrumptiously tasty dish. You could use pork or turkey instead or try a vegetarian version with aubergines and red onion.

Preparation time: 15 minutes   Quantity: Makes 4 kebabs   Cooking time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

3 chicken breasts - large diced

Paste -
1 level teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
2 cm grated ginger
100 ml whipping cream
200 ml natural yogurt
1 lemon juiced
seasoning

Method

  • Dice the chicken
  • Mix all the ingredients for the marinading paste together
  • Mix in to the chicken and leave for minimum 1 hour or preferably overnight
  • Thread the chicken on to presoaked wooden skewers or kebab sticks
  • Grill or B.B.Q for 12 - 15 minutes until golden and firm
