Waffles III - The Belgium One

This batter works best when rested in the fridge overnight and is by far the simplest and cheapest waffle batter. Yet the waffles are still light. Look up our other waffle recipes.

Preparation time: 10 minutes   Quantity: makes 16 or so  

Ingredients

500 g plain flour
5 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon caster sugar
6 eggs - large
enough milk to mix to a batter

Method

  • Sieve the flour and baking powder together in to a big bowl
  • Add the sugar
  • Whisk in the eggs and enough milk to form a batter the consistency of double cream
  • Cover and leave in the fridge overnight or all all day ready for the evening
