Mushroom Provencal

A simple Provençal recipe- to use up CookeryClubs fresh tomato sauce.

Preparation time: 5-10 minutes   Quantity: Serves 4   Cooking time: 10-15 minutes

Ingredients

1/2 lb/ 250g of mushrooms
butter
olive oil
2 cloves crushed garlic
1/2 pint fresh tomato sauce (see Cookeryclub recipe)
cheese (optional)

Method

  • Wash and slice mushrooms
  • Pan fry in a little butter and oil till soft
  • Add crushed garlic
  • Add fresh tomato sauce
  • Warm through and serve
  • Alternatively place in a dish sprinkle with cheese and grill till melted
