Mooli and Carrot Salad with Black Sesame Seeds
You could replace the black sesame seeds with the usual white ones but you can buy them from ethnic supermarkets and delis.
Preparation time: 10 minutes Quantity: serves 4
Ingredients
250 g / 9 oz mooli / white radish / daikon – peeled and grated (or use 1 small one)
150 g / 6 oz / roughly 2 carrots – peeled and grated
60 ml / 4 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
pinch salt
1 teaspoon black sesame seeds
Method
- Soak the grated mooli and carrot in cold water for 15 minutes or so.
- Drain well and season, dress with the vinegar and toss well.
- Serve with a sprinkling of sesame seeds.
