Toffee Sauce
Serve on ice cream, as an accompaniment to tarts etc or poured on to hot steamed chocolate puddings or sticky toffee pudding. Heaven!!!
Preparation time: 5 - 10 minutes Quantity: Serves 4 - 6 Cooking time: approx 10 minutes
Ingredients
175g / 7 oz brown sugar
100g / 4 oz butter
6 tablespoons double/ whipping cream
½ teaspoon vanilla essence
Method
- Boil until toffied, thick, syrupy and golden brown
