Medieval Mulled Apple Cider

Perfect for a medieval party, for a non alcoholic version replace the cider with fresh apple juice.

  Quantity: makes 4 large refreshing glasses  

Ingredients

4 pints (apple) Cider - sweet
1/2 fresh ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon fresh chopped thyme
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
6 sticks cinnamon broken in to quarters

Method

  • In a large pot add all the ingredients except the cinnamon
  • Simmer gently for 8 minutes
  • Pour on to broken cinnamon sticks in your chosen tankards
