Egg en Cocotte - Baked Egg

Why not try cooking on a bed of spinach, blanched cabbage or leeks. You could even add extra flavours like chilli, garlic, ginger or chopped onions.

Preparation time: 5 minutes   Quantity: Serves 1   Cooking time: 10 - 15 minutes

Ingredients

1 whole egg
2 tablespoons milk or cream
salt and pepper

Method

  • Crack the egg in to a small dish (ramekin)
  • Add the milk or cream
  • Season
  • Bake in a medium oven for 10-15 mins until the egg is cooked and the yolk still runny
