Melba Toast
Crunchy and long forgotten. Fantastic with pates, terrines and dips. Try CookeryClubs mushroom and stilton pate smothered on to melba toast - yum
Preparation time: 10 minutes Quantity: As needed Cooking time: 4 - 6 minutes
Ingredients
1 slice thick bread per person
(this gives 2 pieces of melba toast)
Method
- Put the sliced bread in the toaster and toast
- Cut of the crusts off and slice through the middle - so you have two squares - with one side toasted
- Heat up the grill and grill the other side till golden (beware the toast can burn quickly)
- Serve or store in an airtight container till ready
