A perfect dessert for a dinner party after a heavy main course.

Preparation time: 5 minutes plus cooling and setting time.   Quantity: Serves 4-6   Cooking time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

900 ml/ 1&1/2 pints double cream
280g/ 10 oz caster sugar
3 juicy lemons- zest and juice

Method

  • Boil the cream and sugar, till dissolved
  • Add the zest and juice of the lemons
  • Cool slightly
  • Pour in to individual serving glasses
  • Leave to set for several hours or over night
