American Style Sausages - Peppered Long Dogs

Lovely if you like the strong taste of pepper and that peppery kick, Serve the American way in a big long roll with mustard.

Preparation time: 1 hour plus   Quantity: Makes 6-8 long ones!   Cooking time: 10-15 minutes

Ingredients

500g minced pork
1 teaspoon crushed black peppercorns
1/2 teaspoon crushed green peppercorns
2 finely diced/ minced medium onions
60g fresh breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
1/3-teaspoon salt

Method

  • Simply mix everything together with your hands
  • Leave to marinade together for 30 minutes or overnight
  • Stuff in to soaked sausage skins- see chocolate sausages for method
