Green beans with Tomatoes and Onions
A flavoursome dish to serve with stuffed chicken, panfried veal, chargrilled pork or flash fried steak.
Preparation time: 10 minutes Quantity: Serves 4 Cooking time: 10-12 minutes
Ingredients
1 packet French beans (½ lb / 200g)
2 tomatoes (skinned (optional) and diced
½ red onion finely sliced
1 clove garlic rushed optional
salt and pepper
Method
- Steam or boil beans until just under done
- Run cold water over them to stop them cooking
- In a frying pan an a little olive oil heat and toss all together cooking until the onions are soft. (You could add garlic to the oil)
- Season well
