Pasta - Spaghetti Carbonara

An Italian classic.
I like this dish with oyster mushrooms (60g/ 2 oz) added at the bacon stage.

Preparation time: 10 minutes   Quantity: Serves 1   Cooking time: 10-12 minutes

Ingredients

100-150g/ 4-6 oz cooked spaghetti
(80g/ 3 oz raw weight)
1/2 - 1 piece of chopped bacon
4 tablespoons cream
1 large or 2 small egg yolks
touch butter (10g)

Method

  • Cook spaghetti, drain and leave
  • Fry chopped bacon in butter
  • Add double cream, when bubbling take of the heat
  • Stir in the egg yolks
  • Add the spaghetti, mix and serve
