Whiskey Syrup
Replace the whiskey for your favourite tipple, I like rum but that’s another story. Serve warm over ice-cream or with an apple tart.
Preparation time: 5 minutes Quantity: Serves 8-10 Cooking time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
100 ml/4 fl oz water
100 ml/4 f loz whiskey
75g/ 3 oz caster sugar
100g/ 4 oz raisins -pre soaked in whiskey
Method
- Soak the raisins in the whiskey (optional)
- Add the whiskey, water and sugar to a pan
- Boil to a syrup for 3-4 minutes
- Add the raisins
- Chill and serve
