Green Pea Soup
Simpler then making a good cup of tea. Healthier than a cup of coffee and tastier than hot chocolate and marshmallows - ok that’s a lie but it is easy and quick and so so healthy.
Preparation time: 5 minutes Quantity: Serves 1 - 2 Cooking time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
150g / 6 oz fresh or frozen peas
1/2 pint water / stock or milk (or add 1/2 chicken stock cube)
1 teaspoon course grain mustard
2 teaspoons mint jelly or mint sauce
twist pepper (no salt needed)
Method
- Simply add everything in to a pan
- Bring to the boil
- Simmer for 5 minutes
- Liquidize / blend or whizz till smooth-ish
- Add a few twists of pepper to taste and enjoy
