Sweet Chocolate Pastry
Use as a base to cheesecakes, tortes and tarts or cook of circles and top with mousse or fruits and cream or make individual pies - with a chocolate mincemeat covered in chocolate pastry.
Preparation time: 10 - 15 minutes Quantity: Makes one large tart or pie
Ingredients
150g / 6 oz plain flour
50g / 2 oz cocoa powder
110g / 4 oz butter
80g / 3 oz light brown sugar
45g / 1&1/2 oz grated chocolate
1 large egg
Method
- Crumb together by hand the butter in to the flour and cocoa
- Add the sugar and grated chocolate
- Mix in the egg and enough milk to form a soft dough
