Crispy Crunchy Biscuits
A really crisp crunchy biscuit with plenty of taste. Cut out in to your favourite shape or use a cutter and decorate with mixed peel, sprinkles, chocolate chips, raisins or nuts.
Preparation time: 20 minutes Quantity: Makes 9 or so Cooking time: 12 minutes
Ingredients
100g / 4 oz butter - softened
150g / 6 oz plain flour
50g / 2 oz caster sugar
Decorating topping of choice -
raisins
dried fruit
nuts
coconut
sprinkles
chocolate chips
smarties
muesli
mixed peel
glace cherries
coloured balls
Method
- Cut the butter in to small cubes
sift the flour in to a large bowl
- Add the soft butter and sugar
- Rub together with your fingers
- Rub together to form crumbs then the mix will form a dough
- Squeeze together and place on a lightly floured table
- Roll out to 1/2 cm thick
- Cut out your favourite shapes
- Place on a greased tray
- Decorate or leave plain
- Bake in a preheated oven, top shelf - gas 4/ 180*c/ 350*f for 12 minutes or untill light brown
