Basic Flapjack
A basic flapjack - but you can add what ever you like, try 75g/3oz of raisins or other dried fruits or add nuts and seeds or spice it with cinnamon. You could even brush melted chocolate over the cooled flapjack.
Preparation time: 10 minutes Quantity: Makes 8-10 slices Cooking time: 15-20 minutes
Ingredients
125g/ 5 oz butter
125g 5 oz demerara sugar
5 tablespoons golden syrup
225g/ 9 oz oats
Method
- Melt butter,sugar and syrup in a saucepan
- Add oats and mix
- Spoon in a tin (6-8 inch)
- Bake in a medium oven for 15-20 minutes
