Fudge Topping
Smoother on to a fudge cake, spoon on to ice-cream or pipe on to buns - how ever you use it, it’s deep, chocolatey and scrumptious.
Preparation time: 10 minutes Quantity: Makes 300 g or so Cooking time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
100 g / 1 bar dark chocolate 70% cocoa
100 g butter - softened & small diced
125 g / 5 oz icing sugar
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract or double essence
Method
- Break the chocolate in to squares or chunks
- Melt over a bain-marie or microwave in short bursts until just melted
- Whisk in the butter gradually
- Beat in all else
