Serve warm with a generous scoop of CookeryClubs home-made vanilla pod ice cream.

Preparation time: 20 - 30 minutes   Quantity: Makes 10 - 12 portions   Cooking time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

1 lined pastry case- cooked blind
200g butter
200g dark chocolate
4 medium eggs
200g light brown sugar
100 ml milk
100 ml double cream
200g plain flour
4 teaspoons baking powder

Method

  • Line a 10-12 inch tin with sweet or chocolate pastry and bake blind
  • Melt the butter and chocolate over a Bain Marie
  • Whisk the whole eggs and sugar together till light, frothy and paler
  • Add the chocolate mix to the egg mix and then stir in the milk and cream
  • Sift the flour and baking powder twice and stir in the chocolate mix
  • Pour the mix in to the pastry case and bake in a pre-heated oven Gas 4/180*c/350*f – for 40 minutes
  • Serve warm with cold ice cream (Yes I know ice-cream is cold)
