Cranberry Sauce
What holiday turkey dinner would be complete without this sweet and tangy sauce made from fresh cranberries and it is much more delicious than opening a jar.
Preparation time: 10 minutes Quantity: Makes 2 jar Cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
270g/ 9 oz fresh cranberry’s
150g/ 5 oz light brown sugar
1 juice and zest orange
5 tablespoons port or red wine
touch of water
(op) 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger and cinnamon
20g/1/2 oz or butter
Method
- Place all ingredients in a pan on a high heat until nearly all the berries have burst
- Then cook on a low heat until puree like
- Take of the heat and stir in butter
- Spoon in to sterilized jars
- These will keep for a few months
