Dried Bouquet Garni Recipe

Traditionally, this mixture is tied up in cheesecloth and used for flavouring sauces, stocks and casseroles - then simply remove and throw away.

Preparation time: 5 minutes   Quantity: Makes a 50g batch or so  

Ingredients

2 tablespoons dried parsley
2 tablespoons dried thyme
2 tablespoons dried bay leaf
2 tablespoons dried rosemary

Method

  • Mix all together and place in an airtight container.
  • Store in a cool, dark place away from heat sources.
  • Use within 6 months
