A layered apple crumble, perfect to follow a Sunday Roast. Serve with a cinnamon ice-cream.

Preparation time: 20 minutes   Quantity: Serves 6   Cooking time: 45 minutes - 1 hour

Ingredients

90g/ 3 oz plain flour
90g/ 3 oz oats
1 teaspoon cinnamon
90g/ 3 oz butter
90g/ 3 oz demerara sugar
2 soured apples, cored peeled and sliced thinly
2 tablespoon lemon marmalade
1 lemon juice

Method

  • Rub butter in to the oats, flour and spices
  • Stir in the sugar
  • Mix the apples, juice and marmalade together
  • Layer ½ the apples in an ovenproof dish, top with ½ the crumble mix and repeat
  • Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour until the apples are soft and the crumble turns golden


Recommend using a deep baking/ serving dish 6-7 inch or 7 inch tin
