Ingredients

To make this Cranachan - Scottish Oaty Whip Recipe you need
30g / 1 oz oatmeal - lightly toasted
1 pot / 280 - 300 ml double or whipping cream
2 tablespoons Scottish heather honey (preferably)
45 - 60 ml Scotch Whiskey
120g / 4 oz fresh raspberries

Methods

    • To make this Cranachan - Scottish Oaty Whip Recipe
    • Whip the cream till stiff
    • Fold in the honey, cooled oatmeal and half of the Whiskey - very lightly as not too loose the lightness
    • In 3 - 4 glasses or ramekins/ dishes divide the raspberries
    • Drizzle on the remaining Whiskey
    • Spoon on the Cranachan cream
    • Serve
    • Can be made a few hours in advance
