Ingredients

To make this Meatballs Recipe you will need the following ingredients:
1 red onion finely chopped
2 crushed cloves garlic
½ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon fresh mixed herbs
500g/1 lb minced beef (460g)
1 whole egg 60g/2 oz fresh crumbs
1 tablespoon tomato puree (optional)

Methods

    • To make this Meatballs Recipe
    • Sauté onions until soft
    • Add all ingredients
    • Cook out spices
    • Cool
    • Add fresh herbs
    • Add to minced beef
    • Add 1 whole egg, fresh crumbs and tom puree (optional)
    • Mix well and generously season
    • Mould in to 1-2oz meatballs
Preparation time (duration): 20 - 30 minutes
Cooking time (duration): 10 - 15 minutes
Number of servings (yield): Makes 16 balls or 4 - 5 portions
