Ingredients

To make this Gooey Chocolate Cake Recipe you need
400g plain chocolate broken
300g / 10 oz butter
6 eggs - medium
2 extra egg yolks
300g/ 10 oz light brown sugar
60g/ 2 oz cocoa powder
90g /3 oz plain flour

Methods

    • To make this Gooey Chocolate Cake Recipe
    • Melt the chocolate and butter together in a bain marie
    • Meanwhile whisk all the eggs and sugar together till light, well incorporated and frothy
    • Mix the chocolate and egg mix together
    • Fold in the sieved cocoa and flour, stirring gently till well blended
    • Spoon in to a greased tin approx. 18 - 22cm
    • Bake in a preheated oven gas 4/180*c for 20 minutes or 25 minutes in a thicker tin
