Summary:

A basic flapjack recipe - but you can add what ever you like, try 75g/3oz of raisins or other dried fruits or add nuts and seeds or spice it with cinnamon. You could even brush melted chocolate over the cooled flapjack - a simple start to flapjacks.

To make this simple / Basic Flapjack Recipe you will need the following ingredients:
125g/ 5 oz butter
125g 5 oz demerara sugar
5 tablespoons golden syrup
225g/ 9 oz oats

Methods

  1. To make this simple / Basic Flapjack Recipe
    • Melt butter,sugar and syrup in a saucepan
    • Add oats and mix
    • Spoon into a tin (6-8 inch)
    • Bake in a medium oven for 15-20 minutes
