This marinade can be rubbed in to any fish or meat and roasted, grilled or B.B.Q. Mackerel are extremely healthy fish and are full of omega 3 and 6. Oily fish are recommended twice a week.So cook this recipe lots!

Ingredients

For Baked Asian Style Mackerel you will need the following ingredients:
4 whole, gutted-mackerel
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon sesame oil 2
clove crushed garlic
1 lime juice and zest
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon chilli powder (optional)
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
1 tablespoon fresh coriander
1 teaspoon grated ginger
2-3 leaves shredded kaffir lime leaves (optional) seasoning

Methods

  1. To make Baked Asian Style Mackerel
    • Score the mackerel with 4-5 slits down the body (remove the head and tail if you like)
    • Mix all the ingredients together and rub in to the fish, outside and in
    • Leave to marinate for 20 minutes minimum
    • Bake in a preheated oven Gas 6/200*c/400*f -for 20-25 minutes
