Ingredients

To make this Mexican Chilli King Prawns Recipe you will need the following ingredients:
450g/ 16 oz king prawn butterfly (raw)-shelled
1 fresh lime juice
1 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium white onion,
2 juicy skinned-de-seeded plum tomatoes
3 hot Mexican red chillies
2 garlic clove
60 ml dry white wine
1/2 teaspoon fresh chopped oregano
Seasoning

Methods

    • To make this Mexican Chilli King Prawns Recipe
    • Marinate the prawns in lime juice and a little ground black pepper- minimum 20 minutes
    • Make a paste by grinding the chillies, tomatoes, garlic and onion
    • Sauté the paste in the hot oil- cook for 1-2 minutes to release the flavour
    • Add the prawns and marinade - cook for 1-2 minutes on each side till pink/just under cooked
    • Add the wine, herbs and seasoning
    • Bring to the boil- reduce wine a little and serve
