Ingredients

To make this Pilau Rice Recipe you will need the following ingredients:
2 cups of rice
3 dessert spoons of clarified butter ghee
1/2 teaspoon of cumin seeds
1 cinnamon stick
2 cloves
1 small diced onion
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 cup frozen peas
2 to 3 oz of chopped red, green and yellow peppers
1/4 teaspoon turmeric

Methods

  1. To make this Pilau Rice Recipe:
    • Add ghee to the pan and when hot put in cumin seeds, cinnamon stick and cloves
    • Add the onion and fry them lightly
    • Add the pre-washed rice to the pan and stir the rice gently
    • Add the frozen peas, mixed peppers and salt
    • Add 3 cups of boiled water to the rice and cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes
    • Cover and cook for 7 minutes
    • Do not open the lid for 15 minutes
