  • Always clean your hands before cooking
  • Tidy up as you go
  • Don’t touch anything hot
  • Let an Adult do all the hard, hot and horrid things
  • Help with the washing up
  • Don’t lift anything too heavy
  • Stay away from cooking pots and pans, kettles, fryers and steamers
  • But most of all have fun
  • And don’t forget to lick the spoon at the end - that’s the best part

Kitchen Equipment

  • Assortment of cutters
  • Spoons - wooden or plastic
  • Assorted cooking tins and trays
  • Small saucepan
  • Small rolling pin or a lightweight one
  • Pastry brush
  • Assorted mixing bowls
  • Measuring jug
  • Kitchen scales
  • Timer
  • Measurement spoons (1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon)
  • Cooling rack
