Sherbet

You can buy citric acid in health food shops or chemists it is a weak organic acid found in citrus fruits. It acts as a natural preservative and is often found in fresh apple juice. In this case it gives the powder a “sour tang” that makes you “grimace”.

Preparation time: 5 minutes Quantity: Makes 100g mix

Ingredients

10 g / - 1 tablespoon bicarbonate of soda

30 g / 1 oz citric acid

60 g / 2 oz icing sugar - sieved

Colour - 1/4 teaspoon dried colour powder or 1/2 teaspoon edible glitter

Dippers -

lolly pops

liquorice sticks

shoe laces

Method

  • Simply stir all the ingredients together
  • Serve with a dipper or simply stick in a licked finger !!!
