Marzipan Fruits

A good afternoon filler with the added bonus of devouring them afterwards.

Preparation time: 15 minutes plus shaping time Quantity: Makes 8 oz = approx. 1 fruit per oz Cooking time: no cooking required

Ingredients

120 g / 4 oz ground almonds 120 g / 4 oz icing sugar 1 egg white - medium food colouring as required cloves as needed Ideas - Bananas - light yellow, brown streaks along sides, clove on the top Apples - red or green with a clove stalk Plums - small purple with a slit from top to bottom Grapes - small green balls, molded together in a bunch Oranges - orange, rubbed over a cheese grater for a nobbled skin

Method

. Simply mix all the ingredients together . If too sticky knead in some more icing sugar . Cover with cling film until needed . Colour as needed, with caution and care . Shape to your desired shape
